.
IAN:
Film Maker: Matt Raimondo
Cinematographer: Caleb Ware
“IAN” is a short cinematic portrayal of the incredible 72-year-old Australian rockclimber Ian Elliott. Climbing at a level that defies age stereotypes, Ian’s technical skills, strength, and endurance shatter societal norms. His ascent of a grade 28/7c route just before his 70th birthday not only set a personal record but also inspired climbers worldwide, showcasing the extraordinary potential of older athletes.
.
Jamrock
Film Maker: Gareth Leah
“Jamrock” follows the remarkable journey of Kai Lightner, a 12-time national climbing champion and the visionary founder of “Climb for Change.” Against the backdrop of Jamaica, renowned for its vibrant culture but not traditionally associated with rock climbing, Kai embarks on a transformative mission.
The film delves into the heart of Jamaica’s emerging climbing community, where passion and determination thrive despite limited resources and recognition. As a sport historically dominated by white individuals, Kai seeks to challenge stereotypes and foster inclusivity by bringing the thrill of rock climbing to a diverse range of enthusiasts.
.
Jackson Marvell
Producer: DECKED
This is Jackson Marvell. He’s totaled 5 trucks, hauled kegs up rock towers, and rarely (if ever) brushed his hair.
.
Embracing the Grim
Film Maker: Aleksandra Janiak
After conquering massive alpine walls together, Fay and Line head north to the ephemeral Scottish land of mixed climbing. The objectives are ambitious and the weather is fickle, testing the all women team’s perseverance.
This project was conceived and produced by Aleksandra Janiak, Fay Manners and Line Van den Berg. Sadly, Line never had the chance to see it finished.
.
Freya
Film Maker: Natasha Brooks
Leo Houlding's daughter, Freya, uses climbing as a practice to lean into discomfort and fear to help navigate her neurodiversity and harness its strengths.
.
Ceramic:
Film Maker: Anna Frances Perason
New Zealand champion climber Sefton Priestley faced a sedentary life when his hips started to fuse – that is, until he discovered "genius of a surgeon" Dr James Burn who made him bionic.
.
Inside Out:
Filmmaker: Jack Bryn
Producer: Christian Mcewen
"What if you were to dream a lifetime worth of dreams in one night?
The dreamer ponders this question and finds that, regardless of the extraordinary adventures and lifetimes lived, they would ultimately arrive at the present moment, demonstrating that the act of dreaming highlights the truth that reality is the most meaningful journey of all."
.
Climbing for Gold
Film Maker: Vincent Groos
A short documentary about Fré Leys, a Paralympic climber determined to secure victory at the 2023 World Championships in Salt Lake City.
.
Dropping Molly
Film Maker: Cedar Wright
Follow Molly Mitchell's Roller Coaster Journey to climb "Crank-it" one of Colorado's most dangerous routes. After a back breaking fall on the climb, Molly faces her rocky mental health and embarks on a journey of therapy, self discovery, and growth. "Dropping Molly" is an unforgettable, heartbreaking, hilarious and heartwarming film. You will be on the edge of your seat as Molly is forced to ask herself, why do climbers risk their lives for a climb, is it worth it, and will she return to the climb that broke her back?
